The event was kicked off by Damian Wilk, Sales Director, who gave us key insights on the major challenges customers are facing with their digital transformation today and how Veritas supports them on this journey. Then Mark Nutt, EMEA Sr. SVP, followed by Johnny Karam, RVP Emerging Markets, came on stage and shared the broader picture on why customers should trust the market leader on taking care of their data. Next, Deepak Mohan, EVP Data Protection, talked about the data complexity and articulated that, with such complexity, we all need a business partner that can really help us on our journey. Then, we had Rich Rose, Sr. Distinguished Architect, come on the stage. He talked about the insights and provided an amazing live demo of APTARE. He showed us how APTARE provides clear visibility into the data and how we can achieve multiple major benefits, from show-back to optimization, to cost reduction. We all learned how easy it is to get full visibility across the infrastructure, and this is something we see every day with our customers.
Then, we finished with a panel discussion. It was a very interesting conversation, while there were various opinions about what digital transformation is, there was one agreement that digital transformation is about serving our customers better, based on information and based on data. Therefore, regardless where we are in the digital transformation journey, I think it is key for us to get the visibility over the data, focus on that data, make sure the applications that use that data are always available, so we can deliver that competitive advantage.
