The challenge
This large GCC cloud provider had been running NetBackup and decided to modernize its data protection with Cohesity. It had a lot to protect: on-premises and cloud workloads, Microsoft 365, databases, Nutanix and VMware, all across a primary site and a DR site.
It needed a partner who could design, size and deliver the new platform quickly, without leaving any gap in protection during the switch.

What we did
- Designed and sized it right. Virtech designed the solution and sized two Cohesity clusters, one at the primary site and one at the DR site.
- Worked onsite and remotely. Our engineers combined onsite and remote work to keep things moving, side by side with the customer's team.
- Put everything on one platform. On-premises and cloud workloads, Microsoft 365, databases, Nutanix and VMware are all protected by a single Cohesity platform.
- Built in disaster recovery. Protection is replicated across both sites, so data stays recoverable even if a whole site goes down.
- Handed over properly. The 2 weeks included workload onboarding, functionality testing, knowledge transfer and a full handover.
