Cohesity & VAD Technologies Partner Event 2026: What It Means for Your Data

A month after GISEC, the conversation moved from the exhibition floor to a meeting room. Our customers already know that Veritas data protection is now part of Cohesity. The question we hear most is no longer "what has changed?" but "how do we bring everything together on one platform?"

On 15 October 2026, VAD Technologies, Cohesity's distributor in the UAE, hosted the Cohesity & VAD Technologies Partner Event at the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai. Many members of the VAD Technologies and Cohesity teams attended, alongside a large number of Cohesity partners from across the UAE. Abdul Razack represented Virtech.

What was on the agenda

• Product update. The latest developments across the Cohesity platform, from backup and recovery to data security.
• Partner Program update. What is changing for Cohesity partners in the region under the Cohesity Aspire Global Partner Program, and how partners are expected to grow with customers.
• Cohesity Essential Program. A look at how Cohesity is packaging its offering for organisations that want strong protection without enterprise-scale complexity.
• Cohesity AI solutions. How AI is being applied to data protection: finding sensitive data, spotting anomalies and making backup data useful, not just stored.

The session closed with lunch and networking, which, as usual, is where many of the best questions get asked.

Why partner events matter to our customers

Events like this are not just for us. Every update we hear goes straight into the advice we give, the designs we propose and the way we support the platforms our customers run every day.

Virtech designs, deploys and supports Cohesity and NetBackup for organisations across the UAE and GCC. In 2025, Cohesity named us its Best Services Partner for the Middle East. We can help you:

• Build backup and recovery with immutable, isolated copies and a tested recovery runbook
• Consolidate NetBackup and Cohesity DataProtect on one platform, at a pace that suits your business
• Find the gaps first with an IT health check

Thank you, VAD and Cohesity

Thank you to the VAD Technologies and Cohesity teams for organising the event and for the open discussion, and to the partners who shared their experience. We left with plenty of ideas to put to work for our customers.
